Back in the late 80's/early 90's (when I was still young and handsome) I was one of the press coordinators for Wm. Patterson College when they would hold the Special O there.
As I recall, there were plenty of jokes flying about, not just among the people running the show, but the participants and their families as well. Thing was these kids had the time of their lives and it was truly a sight to behold for everyone. If you've never been to an event, I highly recommend it.
Now the right wing couldn't give a rat's ass about these kids. That is, until Obama made his now famous "gaffe" on Leno.
Aren't these the same people whining about how the US had become so PC?
